Statement
STRATEGIC LEARNING,
INC. was founded on the premise
that often there are circumstances that might exist which would
require additional attention for students both in and out of
school. Students with special needs and also those in the educational
mainstream fall into this category.
Since its inception in 1981, the
primary goal of STRATEGIC
LEARNING, INC. has been to target
the individual needs of these students and provide specific
academic assistance through the process of addressing the unique
learning styles of the individual on a one-to-one basis and,
in the process, directing the student to develop his or her
own learning strategies.
Since no two students perceive
new information in exactly the same manner, the strategies for
learning - or STRATEGIC LEARNING
styles - likewise, need to be targeted
for each student. Methodology of individualized instruction
for Special Needs students is equally as valid, and adaptable,
for all students.
The MISSION of this website, is to further target
the STRATEGIC LEARNING styles
of students by providing information, guidance, suggestions
and resources to educators, parents, students and their tutors.
As individuals, our STRATEGIC
LEARNING process never ends. Likewise,
we will endeavor to continue to add to this site for the benefit
of all who visit.
